743 more held under 'Operation Devil Hunt'

The joint forces arrested 743 more suspects linked to destabilising the country under the nationwide 'Operation Devil Hunt' in the last 24 hours till noon today, a police headquarters statement said.
With the latest figure, a total of 11,613 suspects were taken into custody since the crackdown began on 8 February following an attack on the students and people in Gazipur district.
On the 20th day of the crackdown, a total of 1657 persons were apprehended. Of them, 743 were netted under the 'Operation Devil Hunt' and 914 others for previous cases and warrants.

During the operation, the forces seized one shutter gun, one cartridge and sharp machetes during the operation.
