2 members of Allah’r Dal arrested in Dinajpur

The Anti Terrorism Unit of police has arrested two suspected members of the banned militant outfit 'Allah'r Dal'.

They were arrested from a house near Saint Philip's High School & College in Dinajpur municipality early on Saturday, reads a press release.

The arrestees are Md Ali Akash 36, and Md Shahabul Islam Saju, 4o.

Tipped off that a group of people gathered in the area to plan destructive activities in the country, the anti terrorism unit conducted a drive here around 2:20am and detained the duo, it added.

The law enforcers also seized four mobile phones and various documents relating to activities of the group from the spot.

During interrogation, the arrestees have confessed to their involvement with the militant organisation.

In this connection, a case was filed against the due and their fugitive associates with Dinajpur Police Station under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
