CR Abrar sworn in as adviser, given charge of education ministry

Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar, popularly known as CR Abrar, took an oath as adviser to the interim government.
The oath-taking ceremony took place at 11am at Bangabhaban today (5 March), confirmed the Chief Adviser's Press Wing.
He has been given charge of the education ministry, said a Cabinet Division notification this afternoon.
Abrar is a retired professor of Dhaka University's (DU) international relations department.
Abrar serves as the executive director of the Refugee and Migratory Movements Research Unit (RMMRU) and the president of Odhikar, a human rights organisation.
He completed his studies at DU, the University of Sussex, and Griffith University in Australia. His works have been featured in volumes published by Westview Press, Blackwell, Earthscan, and Macmillan India.
