Travel ban imposed on former air force chief Abdul Hannan, his family
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain passed the order after hearing two separate petitions filed by the ACC

A Dhaka court today (5 May) imposed a travel ban on former Bangladesh Air Force chief Shaikh Abdul Hannan and his family in a graft case.
Besides, the court also imposed travel bans on Mohammad Monjor Ahsan, the former chief scientific officer of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission, and his wife in a case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain passed the order after hearing two separate petitions filed by the ACC.
ACC Deputy Director Tanzir Hasib Sarkar filed the petition seeking the travel ban on Hannan, his wife Tahmida Begum, son Labib Hannan, and daughter Sanzida Akter.
According to the petition, allegations were brought against the former air force chief for amassing wealth through abusing power and other irregularities, including taking bribes.
Besides, ACC Deputy Director Anisur Rahman filed another petition against Monjor Ahsan and his wife Nargis Khanam for amassing wealth.
