The court approved the bail on compromise terms with a surety of Tk1,000.
Singer Mainul Ahsan Noble has been granted bail in a case over allegations of embezzling Tk13 lakh by promising marriage.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Raju Ahmed passed the order today (24 February), confirmed the plaintiff's lawyer Sajidul Islam.
Sajidul Islam said the court approved the bail on compromise terms with a surety of Tk1,000.
During the hearing, the judge asked the plaintiff if they wanted to settle the case. The plaintiff agreed. Based on the compromise between both parties, the magistrate granted bail to Noble on a Tk1,000 surety.
The case was filed after the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) submitted a report recommending action against Noble, his mother, his wife, and two others. On 3 February, the court issued arrest warrants against them.
On 23 February, Noble was arrested by the Demra police from the Bottola area under Siddirganj Police Station in Narayanganj.
According to the case statements, Noble developed a romantic relationship with a woman named Anania Shobnom Roj and promised to marry her. Between 25 August 2023 and June 2025, he allegedly took over Tk13 lakh from her and failed to return the money.
The case was filed in court on 13 August 2025, and the judge instructed the PBI to investigate. On 7 January, PBI sub-inspector Nuruzzaman submitted the report, which confirmed the plaintiff's allegations.
Earlier, Noble was arrested on 19 May 2025 in a separate case filed at the Demra police station over rape and assault allegations. He was granted bail on 24 June, five days after marrying the complainant in prison.
The court granted Noble bail after considering the compromise between the parties.
