The court directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to investigate the matter and submit a report

A case has been filed against Rakhal Raha, also known as Sajjadur Rahman, a member of the committee formed to revise books of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB), under the Cyber Security Act for allegedly hurting religious sentiments.
The case was filed by Sajjad Hossain with Dhaka's Cyber Tribunal before Judge Noor-e-Alam today (3 March).
Sajjad Hossain is the joint member secretary of Students Against Discrimination's (SAD) Chattogram unit, reports Prothom Alo.
The court recorded the plaintiff's statement and directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to investigate and submit a report, petitioner's lawyer Md Jewel told the media.
According to the case, Rakhal Raha allegedly posted a status on Facebook on 17 February "intended to insult Islam", which was later reported in various media.
Upon learning about it, Sajjad Hossain attempted to file a case at Motijheel Police Station on 25 February, but was advised to take legal action through the court.
Sajjad Hossain requested the court to accept the allegations, issue an arrest warrant, and summon witnesses to ensure justice.
