Man to die for killing minor girl after rape in Noakhali
The condemned convict is Shahadat, 26
A Noakhali court today (6 July) convicted a man and sentenced him to death for killing a five-year-old girl after rape in 2022.
Noakhali Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Farzana Akter handed down the judgment.
The condemned convict is Shahadat, 26, son of Babul Hossain of Megha village in Chatkhil upazila of the district. The court also fined him Tk1 lakh.

According to the prosecution, Asma, daughter of Maulana Shahjahan of Megha village went missing on 24 March 2022.
Later, police recovered the body of Asma from a septic tank, nine days after she went missing.
Police arrested Shahadat who gave confessional statement before the court admitting his guilt that he violated Asma in an abandoned house and dumped the body to the septic tank after strangled her to death.
