HC to run virtual courts twice a week to save energy
All bench officers serving in single benches of the High Court Division, and at least one bench officer from each division bench, have been asked to collect Zoom IDs and passwords by 20 April, reports BSS.
The Supreme Court of Bangladesh has decided to operate virtual courts in its High Court Division two days a week, on Wednesdays and Thursdays, in a move aimed at saving fuel and electricity amid the current global economic situation.
The decision was taken in line with the Information and Communication Technology Use in Courts Act, 2020 (Act No. 11 of 2020) and the practice directions issued by the Court, a High Court Division notification signed by Registrar Muhammad Nurul Amin Biplob said.
