HC grants interim bail to ex-MP Bodi
Bodi is also involved in an ongoing case concerning the murder of a local councillor of Teknaf
The High Court has granted a six-month interim bail to former MP of Cox's Bazar-4 (Ukhiya-Teknaf), Abdur Rahman Bodi, in a murder case linked to July Uprising.
The bail order was issued today (26 February) by a HC bench comprising Justice Kamrul Hossain Molla and Justice Faisal Hasan Arif, confirmed a court official associated with the bench.
The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Bodi from Chattogarm on 20 August 2024, shortly after the fall of the Awami League government.
Additionally, Bodi is also involved in an ongoing case concerning the murder of a local councillor, Ekramul Haque of Teknaf, which is under trial at the International Crimes Tribunal.
