A Dhaka court has framed charges against Abdul Malek, driver of the Directorate General of Health Service (DGHS), in a case filed over possessing an illegal firearm and ammunition in September last year.
On Thursday, Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Kayesh framed charges against him, reports Jago News.
At that time, Abdul Malek claimed his innocence and expected justice from the court.
Earlier on 11 January, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) SI Mehedi Hasan filed a chargesheet against him in court.
On 20 September last year, a team of RAB, on information conducted a drive in the capital's Kamarpara area and arrested him along with foreign-made pistol, a magazine, five rounds of bullets, Tk 1.5 lakh in fake currency, a laptop and a mobile phone from his possession.
