Crimes against humanity: ICT sets 28 Sept deadline for probe report on student killing during July Uprising
But prosecutors said the probe is in its final stage and that new evidence has been found, so more time is needed. The tribunal then extended the deadline to 28 September

The International Crimes Tribunal-1 (ICT) has ordered investigators to complete and submit their probe report by 28 September in a case filed over the killing of Navy College, Dhaka student Golam Nafiz, who was shot dead during the July Uprising in the Farmgate area.
The report was due today (7 September) before the International Crimes Tribunal-1.
But prosecutors said the probe is in its final stage and that new evidence has been found, so more time is needed. The tribunal then extended the deadline to 28 September.
The tribunal asked its investigation agency and the prosecution to implement the order.
On the same day, Additional Superintendent of Police Sachin Mollick, arrested in the case and currently suspended, was produced before the tribunal.
Nafiz was enrolled in Class XI at the college. He joined the protests with the national flag tied on his head. A rickshaw-puller tried to take Nafiz, who was already shot, to the hospital, but Nafiz died on the way.
In another case, the tribunal directed investigators to complete their probe by 12 October into the killing of Wasim in Chattogram, which names former MP Fazle Karim Chowdhury and 15 others as accused.
