Court attaches plots, freezes bank accounts of ex-MP Shikhor's wife
Of the plots, one is situated in Keraniganj Jhilmil Residential Project and another is in Purbachal New Town Project

A Dhaka court today (1 July) ordered the attachment of two plots, bank accounts and a car of Sima Rahman, wife of former lawmaker from Magura-1 constituency Md Shifuzzaman Shikhor, over graft allegations.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order, allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
Of the plots, one is situated in Keraniganj Jhilmil Residential Project and another is in Purbachal New Town Project.
In its petition, the ACC stated that it has already filed a case against Sima Rahman for accumulating illegal wealth with the assistance of her husband and holding those assets in her name.
As the case is currently under investigation, the commission expressed concern that the accused might attempt to transfer the assets to avoid legal consequences. Therefore, it requested that her movable and immovable properties be attached and her bank accounts frozen.
