Earlier, on August 8, the full court meeting of the Supreme Court decided to conduct both virtual and physical courts in the High Court Division.

The decision was taken by the Chief Justice on the basis of the opinions provided by the judges present.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, only virtual trials have been conducted by the High Court since May 11 of this year.

On Monday, the country's highest court returned to normal routine with the formation of 18 regular benches.
