Six people have been sent to jail over the lynching of a mother, her son, and daughter in Cumilla's Muradnagar on Sunday (6 July).

Among the accused, Bachchu Mia gave a statement under Section 164 in court.

Earlier, Bachchu Mia, Rabiul Awal, Atiqur Rahman, Md. Bayez Master, Dulal, and Akash were arrested from Dhaka on Saturday on charges related to the incident.
On Thursday morning, locals in Koroibari village of Muradnagar Upazila beat and hacked to death Roksana Akhter Ruby, her daughter Jonaki, and son Russel, accusing them of involvement in drug trafficking.
Later, Ruby's daughter Rikta Akhter filed a murder case at Bangra Bazar Police Station.
