Nine-year-old Huzaifa Sultana Afnan, who was killed by a bullet fired from across the Myanmar border, was laid to rest in Teknaf today (8 February).

A large crowd, including political and social leaders, joined the funeral prayers.
Huzaifa, a third-grade student and the eldest child of her parents, was critically injured by cross-border gunfire on 11 January amid ongoing clashes in Myanmar.
After being taken from a local hospital to Chattogram and later to Dhaka for advanced treatment, she died yesterday morning (7 January) at the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital following 27 days of treatment.
