Casino equipment seized from Narayanganj warehouse
The gambling equipment was imported with a false declaration to evade customs duty
Members of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) have seized different casino equipment from a warehouse of a mobile phone factory in Narayanganj.
Being tipped off, a team of CIID led by Additional Director General Shamima Akter conducted the drive at the factory of Best Tycoon (BD) Enterprise Limited in Rupganj area on Sunday.
Among the seized equipment is a board named Mahjong that is popular for gambling at casinos in Hong Kong and Macao.

The gambling equipment was imported with a false declaration to evade customs duty, said a CIID press release.
Recently the CIID has noticed that some factories are importing such gambling equipment in the country, the press release read.
Legal action is underway regarding this issue, it added.
