Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said the cabinet is likely to be reshuffled in the new year.
Awami League's newly re-elected general secretary also said the full central committee of the party could be announced on next Tuesday.
Obaidul Quader shared the information with reporters at his office at the secretariat on Sunday.

Responding to a question about probable changes in the cabinet after the ruling party forms a new central committee, Obaidul Quader said reshuffling the cabinet is a routine task, and it is likely be done in the new year as well.
The Awami League general secretary said a party presidium meeting has been scheduled for next Tuesday. A full central committee is expected to be announced at the meeting.
Meanwhile BNP welcomed Awami League's new committee. Obaidul Quader sees this as part of the formalities.
In this regard he said, "Other opposition leaders were present at the conference, and it would've been better if BNP could join too."
