CAAB chairman meets SpaceX representative, discusses possibility of launching Starlink services at Bangladesh airports

Air Vice Marshal Md Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan, chairman of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), paid a courtesy call on Richard H Griffiths, global engagement adviser of SpaceX, the parent company of satellite-based internet service provider Starlink, at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka today (16 March).
During the meeting, they discussed the possibility of launching Starlink services at Bangladeshi airports and various aspects of improving the quality of passenger service through satellite-based internet, reads a press release.
The CAAB chairman also thanked the SpaceX representative for coming to Bangladesh and expressed hope for mutual cooperation in the future.
Earlier, on 13 February, Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus held an extensive telephonic discussion with Elon Musk, chief executive officer of SpaceX, to explore future collaboration and to make further progress to introduce Starlink satellite internet service in Bangladesh.
