'Be part of historic moment': Yunus urges all Bangladeshis to tune in to July Charter signing at 4pm Friday
"This is our time to celebrate together — to feel the power of unity and to draw energy from this historic day of pride and hope!" said the chief adviser.

Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus has called on all television channels and online media outlets to broadcast the July National Charter signing ceremony live tomorrow (17 October), and urged all Bangladeshis to join in the historic moment for the nation.
According to a message shared on the chief adviser's verified Facebook page on Thursday night (16 October), the ceremony will take place at 4pm on Friday (17 October).
In the message, Yunus said, "We call on all TV and online media to broadcast the July National Charter signing ceremony live."
"To every Bangladeshi — wherever you are, at home or on the move, in your shops, factories, fields, or playgrounds — tune in and be part of this historic moment!
"Despite our political, religious, or ethnic differences, we stand together as ONE UNITED NATION," he said.
"This is our time to celebrate together — to feel the power of unity and to draw energy from this historic day of pride and hope!" said the chief adviser.
The charter is set to be signed at a ceremony on the South Plaza of the National Parliament tomorrow afternoon.
The July National Charter outlines areas of reform on which the country's political parties are expected to reach a consensus in principle. Drafted by the National Consensus Commission, the charter is intended to serve as a framework for state reform following last year's July Uprising.
The Consensus Commission hopes all political parties will sign the National July Charter 2025 at Friday's ceremony, though several, including the NCP, Gonoforum, and four leftist parties, have announced they will not join the event.
While the BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami have confirmed that they will attend the ceremony, they too have issued demands and remain vague on whether they will sign the document.
