CA Yunus returns home from Thailand after attending Bimstec Summit
A Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the CA and his entourage touched down at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 10:05pm, reads a press statement issued by the CA’s Press Wing.

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus returned to Dhaka from Thailand tonight (4 April) after a two-day visit, during which he attended the sixth Bimstec summit and joined bilateral meetings with several state heads of neighbouring countries on the sidelines.
A Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the CA and his entourage touched down at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 10:05pm, reads a press statement issued by the CA's Press Wing.
The Biman flight carrying the CA and his entourage departed Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok at about 8.45pm local time.
During his brief visit to Bangkok, Prof Yunus spoke at the Bimstec Young Gen Forum on the sidelines of the Bimstec Summit on Thursday (yesterday).
He addressed the Bimstec Summit today, urging the Bimstec member states to work together for mutual interests and shared benefits.
The CA also received the Bimstec chairmanship today from Thailand Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra for the next two years.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Adviser and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the Bimstec summit.
Besides, Prof Yunus held bilateral meetings with the Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, the Bhutanese Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay, Sri Lankan Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya and Bimstec Secretary General Indra Mani Pandey on the sidelines.
Thai Minister for Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS) Varawut Silpa-archa and Thailand's Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office Jiraporn Sindhuprai, called on Prof Yunus on Thursday.
Prof Yunus arrived in the Thai capital on Thursday to join the sixth Bimstec summit.
