Bus-motorcycle collision kills 3 brothers in Barguna

Three brothers, who were riding on a motorcycle, were killed after their motorcycle collided head-on with a Dhaka-bound bus at Pathorghata Upazila in Barguna today (29 March).
The accident on Pathorghata-Mathbaria Road in the Sonarbangla area under the upazila's Raihanpur Union at around 7:30am left the trio dead on the spot, said police.
The deceased were identified as Md Naimuzzaman Shuvo, Md Shanto and Md Nadim, sons of Nasir Khan from Tikikata Union under Pirojpur's Mathbaria Upazila.
Pathorghata Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Mehedi Hasan said, "The bodies will be sent to the morgue for autopsies. The bus of Rajib Paribahan will be impounded and a case will be filed under the Road Transport Act in this regard."
According to witnesses, a Rajib Paribahan bus was heading towards Dhaka when it collided with a motorcycle in the Sonarbangla area, killing the three brothers on the spot.
Informed by locals, police reached the spot and recovered the bodies.
Sources said the brothers were heading towards Pathorghata's Keratpur. One of their brothers had drowned three years ago. Shuvo used to live and work in Dhaka and was the family's breadwinner, according to police.
