BSF pushes in 16 people through Moulvibazar border

The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has reportedly pushed 12 Rohingya nationals, including women and children, and four Bangladeshi citizens into Bangladesh through the Barlekha border in Moulvibazar.
According to local sources, the individuals were forcibly sent across the Kumarsail border area under the Latu Border Outpost (BOP) of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in the early hours today (23 June).
Rafique Uddin Ahmed, chairman of Uttar Shahbajpur Union Parishad, said that with assistance from local residents, the BGB apprehended the people around 9:00am and brought them to the camp for questioning.
Lieutenant Colonel Arif, commanding officer of BGB-52 Battalion, could not be reached for comments.
Meanwhile, Barlekha Police Station's Investigation Officer Md Habibur Rahman said, "We have been informed that BGB has detained 12 Rohingya and four Bangladeshi nationals pushed in by the BSF. However, they have not yet been handed over to the police. Legal action will be taken once they are formally turned over."
