BRTC double-decker bus hits expressway pillar at Farmgate, several injured

Several passengers were injured when a BRTC double-decker bus crashed into a pillar of the elevated expressway in Dhaka's Farmgate area today (29 July).
The accident occurred as the bus was turning near a crossing, causing the front section of the upper deck to collapse upon impact.
Confirming the incident, Traffic Inspector Zalal Uddin Rumi of the Farmgate police box told TBS, "A BRTC bus crashed into the extended part of a pillar of the elevated expressway, injuring several passengers."
He added that the bus and its driver were seized and later handed over to Tejgaon Police Station.
"Accidents occur repeatedly in the same place due to the extended part of the pillar," Rumi said.
