BRTA, BIWTC get new chairmen
The Public Administration Ministry issued separate notifications regarding these appointments today (30 September)
The government has appointed new chairmen for the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) and the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC).
Mohammed Yasin, director general of the Department of Printing and Publication, has been named the new BRTA chairman. Additionally, Sanjoy Kumar Banik, additional secretary in the Shipping Ministry, has been appointed as the chairman of BIWTC.
The Public Administration Ministry issued separate notifications regarding these appointments today (September 30).

The notifications also said the orders were issued in the public interest and will be effective immediately.
