Commuters are advised to avoid the Nayapaltan area tomorrow (28 May), due to a grand political rally organised by three affiliated organisations of the BNP — Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, Jubo Dal, and Swechchhasebak Dal.

According to Swechchhasebak Dal President SM Jilani, organisers expect over 1.5 million participants, which could result in severe traffic congestion in and around the Nayapaltan, Kakrail, Shantinagar, Malibagh, Bijoynagar, Paltan, Fakirapool, and Motijheel areas.
