BNP organizes milad, doa mahfil marking Eid-e-Miladunnabi
He said people have strayed from the Prophet's message and ideals, stressing the need to return to the path of justice, peace and equality by following his teachings.
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) today (26 August) organized a milad and doa mahfil at its central office in Nayapaltan in the city, marking the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi.
Addressing the doa mahfil, BNP Acting Secretary General and Political Adviser to the Prime Minister Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said the core teachings of Eid-e-Miladunnabi are to establish peace, equality and justice by following the life and ideals of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
He called upon all to make a solemn commitment to uphold the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH), saying his message emphasized peace, forgiveness, patience, equality, tolerance and justice irrespective of religion or caste.
"If we follow Islam's great message of peace in today's world, there will be no wars or conflicts. Justice will be established, economic equality will be ensured and social order will be maintained," Rizvi said.

Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, Water Resources Minister Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anee, DSCC Administrator Md Abdus Salam, BNP Joint Secretary General Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel and Volunteer Affairs Secretary Mir Sarafat Ali Sapu, among other senior party leaders, attended the programme.
