BNP, Jamaat, NCP to meet CA Yunus this evening to discuss election, ongoing political situation

BNP, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and National Citizen Party (NCP) will have separate meetings with the Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus in the evening today (24 May) to discuss election and ongoing political situation.
Sources at the Chief Adviser's Press Wing confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.
BNP will meet with CA at 7:30pm. They will discuss the present situation and elections, confirmed BNP's media cell.
Jamaat Nayeb-e-Ameer Syed Abdullah Muhammad Taher told the media that the CA's Office has fixed 8pm this evening for a meeting with them.
He said they want to meet with the CA to discuss ongoing political issues.
Mentioning that Jamaat believes the CA's resignation is not a solution, Taher said the party wants the next election to be held under the leadership of Yunus.
Besides, in a statement today, NCP Joint Member Secretary Mushfiqur Us Salehin said a delegation of the party, led by its Convener Nahid Islam, will engage in discussions with the chief adviser.
The meeting will take place at 8:30pm at the State Guest House, Jamuna, following an official invitation by Yunus, he added.
The NCP delegation includes Chief Organiser (Southern region) Hasnat Abdullah, Senior Joint Convener Ariful Islam Adeeb and Senior Joint Member Secretary Dr Tasnim Jara.
Earlier, Jamaat Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman urged for an all-party meeting regarding the emerging issues.
The call was made through a post on the Jamaat's Facebook page on the ameer's behalf.
