The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued a heavy rainfall warning for Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions for the next 24 hours, starting from 6pm today (1 November).
According to the BMD warning notice, the well-marked low over India's south Bihar and adjoining areas has moved north-northeastwards and weakened into a low-pressure area over Gangetic West Bengal and the western part of Bangladesh.
Under its influence, heavy (44-88mm in 24 hours) to very heavy rainfall (more than 88mm in 24 hours) is likely to occur at places across the three divisions, the BMD said.
