Biman’s first flight on Chattogram-Medina route takes off

Biman Bangladesh Airlines's first flight on Chattogram-Medina route has started today.

The flight took off from Shah Amanat International Airport at 1 pm Thursday with 265 passengers on board.

The chief guest, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali inaugurated the Chittagong-Medina-Chittagong flight BG 173 by cutting a ribbon.

"The Medina route is a part of Biman's ongoing endeavour for expanding the international destinations," Ali Mahbub said.

Among others, civil Aviation Authority Chairman Air Vice Marshal Mohammad Mofidur Rahman, Managing Director and CEO of the aircraft Mokhbir Hossain were present as special guests.

A passenger, Abu Jahed Chowdhury said, "Earlier, we did not have direct flight to Medina. The Chittagong-Medina flight will save passengers valuable time and money."
