BIDA unveils upgraded one-stop service portal for investors

The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) has launched a revamped version of its One-Stop Service (OSS) portal, aiming to further enhance service delivery for both domestic and foreign investors.

The OSS portal, initially introduced on 24 February 2019, at www.bidaquickserv.org, currently offers 134 services from 44 organisations, said a press release.

It has been pivotal in streamlining investment-related processes by consolidating services into a single platform. The portal has significantly reduced both time and costs, creating a more investment-friendly environment in Bangladesh.

The updated portal, unveiled on 5 January 2025, incorporates several innovative features designed to improve user experience and transparency. One of the key additions is the public service performance dashboard, which provides detailed insights into the number of applications processed and their resolution timelines by BIDA and its associated stakeholders.

Additionally, the portal now offers an online monitoring and application tracking feature, allowing investors to track the real-time status of their applications. Another enhancement is the introduction of convenient service access, enabling users to view information about available services without the need to log in. This ensures greater transparency and ease of use for all investors.

According to the BIDA One-Stop Service Rules, 2020, all applications are required to be processed within a stipulated timeframe. The monitoring dashboard allows higher authorities to oversee this process, ensuring timely service delivery to applicants.

This upgraded version aims to provide a seamless and efficient service experience for investors, reinforcing Bangladesh's commitment to fostering an investment-friendly environment.
