Bhola coast guard seizes drugs, vows continued anti-narcotics drives
The Bangladesh Coast Guard has seized 4 kilogrammes of cannabis worth approximately Tk 120,000 and arrested one individual during a special anti-drug operation in the Ilisha Launch Ghat area under Bhola Sadar Police Station.
The operation was conducted by Coast Guard Base Bhola at around 6am on Monday, 13 October 2025, acting on confidential information, confirmed Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haq, Media Officer of the Bangladesh Coast Guard.
He stated that legal action regarding the apprehended individual and the seized cannabis is underway. He added that the Coast Guard will continue such operations to safeguard the younger generation from the dangers of drugs.
