BB governor, Thai envoy discuss strengthening economic ties

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Bangladesh, Thitiporn Chirasawadi, today (16 March) paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Mohammad Mostakur Rahman at the central bank's headquarters in the city.
Senior officials from Bangladesh Bank were also present during the meeting, which centred on deepening the economic and institutional relationship between the two nations, said a press release.
During the visit, both parties engaged in cordial discussions aimed at further strengthening the existing bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Thailand.

On the occasion, the Governor expressed his sincere appreciation to the Government of Thailand and the Bank of Thailand for their ongoing support.
He specifically acknowledged the importance of the training opportunities created for officials of Bangladesh Bank, noting that such initiatives are vital for the professional development of the central bank's personnel.
The meeting concluded in a cordial atmosphere, with both the Governor and the Ambassador exchanging mutual thanks. The visit reaffirmed the positive trajectory of the diplomatic and economic connection between the two countries, centring on shared goals for institutional growth and the optimisation of trade mechanisms.
