Bank Asia posts 41% profit drop in Apr-Jun
Bank Asia reported that its net profit dropped by 41% in the April-June quarter of this year.
During the second quarter of 2025, its consolidated earnings per share dropped to Tk0.99, down significantly from Tk1.68 in the same quarter of the previous year, according to a disclosure filed with the Dhaka Stock Exchange today.
At the end of the first half of this year, its consolidated earnings per share stood at Tk2.29, which was slightly higher from Tk2.26 in the same period of the previous year.

Following the disclosure, its share price dropped by 1.07% to close at Tk18.50.
In 2024, the company had paid a 10% cash dividend and a 10% stock dividend, while it posted the net profit of Tk249.89 crore for that year.
