The government of Bangladesh has withdrawn four ambassadors appointed on a contractual basis from their posts in Portugal, Poland, Mexico and the Maldives, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today (8 March).

The Ambassadors are Dr M. Mahfuzul Haque, Md Mainul Islam, M Mushfiqul Fazal (Ansarey) and Dr Md Nazmul Islam - have been transferred to the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka.

Besides, Bangladesh's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Abida Islam, has also been withdrawn and transferred to the ministry's headquarters.
