Eid-ul-Adha: Sale of advance train tickets for 4 June underway
Ten special trains will operate across five routes and those will run from 4 June to 6 June and again from 9 June to 14 June, with some trains running even on Eid day

Bangladesh Railway started selling advance train tickets this morning (25 May) for 4 June journey ahead of the Eid-ul-Adha.
To ease the process for passengers this year, 100% of tickets for regular intercity trains are being sold online, with no sales at station counters.
The online-based ticket sales for the Western region began at 8am and while the Eastern region will start at 2pm.
Ten special trains will operate across five routes and those will run from 4 June to 6 June and again from 9 June to 14 June, with some trains running even on Eid day.
Unlike regular services, tickets for special trains will only be available at station counters and not online.
A total of 43 intercity trains will operate across the country during Eid, offering around 33,315 seats.
Besides, 25% of each train's capacity will be allocated for standing tickets, which will also be sold at station counters.
According to the Railway's Eid schedule, tickets for 31 May went on sale on 21 May, followed by 2 June tickets on 23 May, and 3 June tickets on 24 May. Tickets for 5 June and 6 June will go on sale on 26 May and 27 May, respectively.
Each passenger will be able to take up to four seats in a single transaction. Tickets bought in advance are non-refundable.
On 6 May, the Council of Advisers approved a 10-day vacation on the occasion of the Eid-ul-Adha, beginning on 5 June.
