Bangladesh, Netherlands extend Delta Plan project with additional funding
Under the amendment, the Netherlands will provide an additional grant of Tk3.1902 crore, bringing its total contribution to Tk16.4798 crore.
Bangladesh and the Netherlands have signed a fourth amendment to the Administrative Arrangement for the project "Support to the Implementation of the Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100 (BDP-2100)", extending the project until 31 December 2026.
Under the amendment, the Netherlands will provide an additional grant of Tk3.1902 crore, bringing its total contribution to Tk16.4798 crore. The funds will be administered by Bangladesh's General Economics Division (GED).
The SIBDP project was originally formulated under the Netherlands–Bangladesh Bilateral Development and Technical Cooperation Agreement of 1977, with the Administrative Arrangement and Schedule of Operations considered a treaty archived in the Dutch Parliament. The agreement was signed by Joris van Bommel, ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and Md Shahriar Kader Siddiky, secretary of the Economic Relations Division (ERD).
