Bangladesh Infantry Regiment holds 21st annual commanders' conference

The 21st annual commanders' conference of the Bangladesh Infantry Regiment was held at the Bangladesh Infantry Regimental Centre (BIRC) in Rajshahi Cantonment today (24 August).
Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman attended the conference as the chief guest, reads an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release.
According to ISPR, upon his arrival at the BIRC conference hall, the army chief was received by the acting GOC of Army Training and Doctrine Command (ARTDOC), the commandant of Bangladesh Infantry Regimental Centre, and the GOC of 11 Infantry Division and area commander of Bogura Area.
During the conference, the army chief exchanged views with the commanding officers of all Bangladesh Infantry Regiment units attending the event.
He directed the members of the regiment's units to continue working in the service of the country and expressed hope that the units would continue to serve as the backbone of the infantry.
The army chief also praised the training and administrative activities of the Bangladesh Infantry Regiment.
The event was attended by the acting GOC of ARTDOC, commandant of East Bengal Regimental Centre, the adjutant general and military secretary of the Bangladesh Army, commandant of BIRC, GOC of 11 Infantry Division and area commander of Bogura Area, commandant of the School of Infantry and Tactics, senior officers from Army Headquarters and the relevant areas, commanding officers of Bangladesh Infantry Regiment units, and members of various military organisations.
