Bangladesh hosts US Army medical chief to strengthen military health cooperation

Major General E Darrin Cox, commanding general of the US Army Pacific's 18th Theater Medical Command, visited Bangladesh from 18 to 22 January to strengthen medical partnerships with the Bangladesh Army Medical Forces.
The visit aligns with the objectives of the US Indo-Pacific Command and US Army Pacific to deepen collaboration and enhance partner capacity in military healthcare.
During his stay, Major General Cox held meetings in Dhaka and visited Jalalabad Cantonment and the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Sylhet. These engagements are expected to lay the groundwork for future joint medical exercises, professional exchanges, and collaboration in specialised medical fields.
The visit stresses the United States' continued commitment to strategic health cooperation and long-term defence partnership with Bangladesh.
