Automated financial services of the government are helping prevent misuse of public resources and corruption, Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed has said.

"Financial management will get clarity and accountability if various platforms of financial services can be brought under one coordinated management," he said, as chief guest, while inaugurating various online platforms organised by the Finance Division on Monday.

"The more the ordinary people will use automated systems instead of going to service providers, the more corruption will fall and services will continue without disruption," he added.

During the inauguration ceremony, the finance adviser stressed the need to create skilled manpower and regularly update the services through them.

Among the platforms inaugurated by the adviser are the renovated Ibas++ Website, A-Challan Website, Life Verification App for the pensioners and Paperless and Online Last Payment Certificate.

Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh Md Nurul Islam attended the event as special guest, while many other government high-ups were present during the ceremony.
