Police have also detained two persons and a press conference will be held at Savar police station at 3 pm regarding the matter.

Tuhin Siddiqui Omi, along with businessman Nasiruddin Mahmud, was arrested yesterday in a case filed over rape and murder attempts on actor Shamsunnahar Smrity, popularly known as Pori Moni.

They were placed on a seven-day remand each in a case filed under the Narcotics Control Act.
