Algerian president offers condolences over Khaleda Zia’s death

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has expressed his deepest condolences to President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus over the death of Begum Khaleda Zia, former prime minister and BNP chairperson.
In his condolence message, Tebboune expressed profound sorrow at the demise of Khaleda Zia recalling her significant contributions to Bangladesh's democratic journey and her steadfast commitment to the welfare of the people.
He said her leadership and dedication will be remembered with respect and admiration, and also acknowledged her role in promoting bilateral relations between Algeria and Bangladesh during her tenure as prime minister.
The Algerian president extended heartfelt sympathy to the government and people of Bangladesh, as well as to the family members and supporters of Khaleda Zia.
He also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed leader and for strength and fortitude for the nation at this moment of grief.
