After teenager, now youth goes missing in Munshiganj while bathing in river
This is the second such case reported in Munshiganj

A youth went missing while taking a bath in the Meghna River at Munshiganj's Gazaria upazila today (2 April).
The missing youth was identified as Faruk Hossain, 20, son of Atik Hossain from Narayanganj's Sanarpar area.
This is the second such case reported in Munshiganj.
Earlier, a teenage boy went missing while taking a bath in the Ichamati River during a visit to his uncle's house at Sadar upazila, locals and police said.
The youth went missing while bathing in the river with his friends at Totoitola area in the Gazaria portion of Meghna River around 4:30pm this afternoon, said witnesses.
Contacted, a diver of the local Fire Service and Civil Defence, Abul Khair said, "Being informed, we came to the spot around 5:30pm and started searching for the missing youth. We are yet to find any trace of him."
Anwar Alam Azad, officer-in-charge of Gazaria Police Station, said, "We have been informed about the incident. The River Police have been informed to take necessary steps in this regard."
According to Faruk's family, he had passed his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination from Govt Tolaram College in Narayanganj and was preparing for university admission tests.
Johirul Islam, a friend of the missing youth and an eyewitness to the incident, said, "A total of 22 of us came to visit the Meghna River on Wednesday. Arriving at the spot around 2:30pm, missing Faruk along with myself and four others went to take a bath in the river around 4:30pm."
"Although five among us came out of the river after bathing, Faruk wished to stay in the water for a little longer. We grew suspicious due to not seeing Faruk for a long time after he took a dip in the river. We started to search for him, but did not find him anywhere. We informed the administration about the matter," Johirul added.
