Putting emphasis on making the people aware about the ongoing land digitization programme, Land Adviser AF Hassan Ariff today (17 November) urged the divisional commissioners to work sincerely in ensuring transparent, accountable and citizen-friendly land management at the field level.

The adviser made the call at a coordination meeting with divisional commissioners at his ministry's meeting room.

Ariff asked divisional commissioners to strict supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the officials and employees of the land department at local level.

He said most people have limited knowledge about the land related services. Service aspirants should be made widely aware of the ongoing digitization programme of the government including online registration, holding number, land tax and filing procedures, he added.

Ariff laid emphasize on continuing the regular training programmes for the field-level land officers and employees.

Senior secretary of the ministry ASM Saleh Ahmed and senior officials were present at the meeting.
