ACC raids Kamalapur Railway Station over allegations of harassment, graft by railway staff
During the operation, the ACC team reportedly found several irregularities, including cases where passengers without tickets were allowed to board trains after making unofficial payments to railway staff -- none of which were supported by official receipts.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today (6 August) conducted a raid at the Kamalapur Railway Station in Dhaka, following multiple complaints of harassment, unauthorised money collection, and widespread mismanagement by on-duty Ansar and railway personnel.
An ACC enforcement team carried out the operation in response to reports from passengers alleging misconduct and corruption at the country's central railway terminal.
Confirming the matter, ACC Deputy Director Aktarul Islam said members of the team went undercover, posing as regular passengers to monitor the activities of the Ansar, Railway Police, and Railway Nirapatta Bahini (RNB). The team closely observed the behaviour of the security personnel and railway staff, while also speaking to commuters to gather firsthand accounts.
During the operation, the ACC team reportedly found several irregularities, including cases where passengers without tickets were allowed to board trains after making unofficial payments to railway staff -- none of which were supported by official receipts.
Instances of harassment and rude behaviour by Ansar members toward passengers were also documented.
The ACC team captured both photographic and video evidence of the incidents, including unauthorised financial transactions.
They later interrogated the acting station manager and called for immediate administrative measures against those involved in misconduct and violation of regulations.
"A detailed report will be submitted to the commission after a full review of the evidence gathered during the operation," the deputy director added.
