The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) quizzed Lakshmipur-2 constituency lawmaker Md Shahid Islam alias Kazi Papul's wife Selina Islam and his sister-in-law Jasmin Prodhan over allegations of amassing illegal wealth and laundering money by him.

A team led by Md Salahuddin, deputy director of ACC, questioned the duo for one and a half-hour at the commission's Segunbagicha office in Dhaka on Wednesday.

After that, Selina Islam, also an independent Member of the Parliament in reserved seat, claimed that the allegations of corruption against his husband and family members are baseless.
