Abrar murder: Sadat placed on 5-day remand
Sadat told the court that he was called by Anik Sarker, Mehedi Hasan Robin and Moniruzzaman Monir into Room 2011 of Sher-e-Bangla hall where Abrar was beaten to death.
A Dhaka court today placed ASM Nazmus Sadat, one of the accused in the Buet student Abrar Fahad murder case, on 5-day remand.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Morshed Al-Mamun Bhuiyan granted the remand when police produced Sadat before the court with a 10-day remand plea.
Sadat told the court that he was called by Anik Sarker, Mehedi Hasan Robin and Moniruzzaman Monir into Room 2011 of Sher-e-Bangla hall where Abrar was beaten to death.

Sadat was arrested from Katla Bazar on October 15, a border area in Dinajpur district, in the morning. He was a student of the 17th batch of Mechanical Engineering Department at Buet.
He attempted to flee to India to evade arrest in the murder case.
Abrar Fahad, 21, a resident of Sher-e-Bangla Hall and a second-year student of Buet, was beaten to death on the night of October 7 by some Chhatra League men over his alleged affiliation with Jamat-e-Islami's student wing Chhatra Shibir.
