7th BAPA FoodPro International Expo 2019 to start from November 21
This fair will be beneficial for Bangladesh to take the agriculture sector to the international standard

The 7th BAPA (Bangladesh Agro-Processors' Association) FoodPro International Expo 2019 is set to start from November 21 at the International Convention Centre Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital city Dhaka.
Both local and international consumers, producers, traders, and distributors are expected to attend the expo and exchange their views and experience with each other, revealed by the BAPA in a press briefing at the EconomicReporters Forum (ERF) in Dhaka on Tuesday.
Almost 300 local and international companies, among which 58 are already active members of the BAPA, will attend the expo. Besides, companies from 13 countries including the USA, Germany, Thailand, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, and India will take part in the expo.
The main objective of the fair is to increase investment in the agriculture sector and to decrease the scarcity of agriculture food and resources. They also said that this would be the perfect platform to discuss ideas and ways of increasing the supply of processed food to tackle this issue for future implementation.
The chairman of BAPA and Pran-RFL Group Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, BAPA vice president, SM Jahangir Hossain, general secretary, Iqtadul Hoque were present at the briefing among others.
Ahsan Khan Chowdhury said, "The expo will serve as a platform for supply chain professionals to maintain and create relationships with large entrepreneurs. Moreover, the youth will have opportunities to build a relationship with employers for future recruitments."
This fair will be beneficial for Bangladesh to take the agriculture sector to the international standard, he added.
The expo will be open from November 21 to 23 from 11am to 7pm.
