His namaz-e-janaza was held at the Ijtema ground following Jumma prayers, and his body will be taken to his village, he added .

The 58th edition of the Biswa Ijtema, on the banks of the Turag River in Gazipur's Tongi, began earlier this morning, with tens of thousands of devotees from home and abroad in attendance.

The formal opening of the religious gathering took place after Maghrib prayer yesterday, with sermons delivered by Indian scholar Maulana Ibrahim Deolar.
