Three cases were filed against 566 people on Tuesday night in connection with a clash between supporters of two factions of the Bogra District Motor Owners Association over establishing supremacy.

The cases have been filed mentioning names of 91 people and 475 unnamed others.

The plaintiffs of the cases are Bogura Police Inspector Md Nannu Khan, acting president of Sagar Upazila Jubo League and General Secretary of the latest committee of the Motor Owners Association Aminul Islam and Mashiul Alam, brother of District Awami League Joint General Secretary Manjurul Alam Mohan.

Inter-district bus service from Bogra has been suspended over the clash.

Passenger bus services on all domestic routes have been suspended since 6am on Wednesday following a call by the owner-worker joint committee to demand the arrest of Manjurul Alam Mohan. Long-distance buses are plying through Bogra to other Northern districts.

At least 10 people, including a policeman, were injured in a factional clash between two groups of Bogra District Motor Owners Association over establishing supremacy.

The clash took place at Charmatha bus stand in Bogura around 12pm on Tuesday.

During the clash, at least 10 motorcycles were set on fire.

The office of the District Motor Owner Association was also burnt down alongside the office of Shah Fahet Ali Bus service. Two of the 10 injured sustained bullet-wounds.
