Family visit ends in tragedy: fatal crash claims eight lives in Natore
All the deceased were passengers in the microbus.

Tragedy struck Natore today (23 July) morning when a head-on collision between a microbus and a truck on the Bonpara-Hatikumrul highway in Baraigram upazila claimed eight lives.
The victims, all from Dharmadah village in Kushtia's Daulatpur upazila, have been identified as Zahidul Islam; his wife, Shelly Begum; sister-in-law, Ety Begum; Shima Khatun; Anwara Begum Anu; Anjuman Ara; Anna Khatun; and the microbus driver, Shahab Uddin.
All the deceased were passengers in the microbus. They were returning to Enayetpur in Sirajganj from Kushtia after visiting a sick relative when the accident occurred near the Sirampur Araimari bridge around 10:30am.
Five people died on the spot, while three others, including the driver, suffered critical injuries, said Ismail Hossain, officer-in-charge of Bonpara Highway Police Station.
"Local residents rushed the injured to a nearby hospital, but one was pronounced dead on arrival. Despite medical efforts, the remaining two later succumbed to their injuries," the OC added.
